Mute and Vernon: Is it a three or a ten?

If a player have both the crew members Mute and Vernon and rolls a 6 it becomes a 3. Mute's ability happens before the 6 is ever truly confirmed, or able to have its value changed.

Note: If a player plays Change of Fate turning a die into a six with Mute and Vernon in play, it would instantly become a 3 as well.
